This Privacy Policy explains how Voy.do collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Voy.do website/landing and mobile app.
By using the Site or App, you agree to this policy.

We collect information from: (a) what you provide, (b) what is collected automatically, and (c) technical providers required to run Voy.do.
- Newsletter data (email and optional fields).
- Account/profile data (email, credentials, profile details).
- Social data (friends, groups, followers, likes).
- App content (group chat messages and event interactions).
Group messages are protected with reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls.
Automatic collection may include device/app information, security/performance logs, analytics, and push notification tokens/preferences when enabled.
Foreground location may be requested for nearby events, maps, and on-site event experiences.
We do not request background location.
Location sharing is never public and is only shared with friends inside groups when you enable it.

- Enable social/group features and group chat.
- Send notifications based on your preferences.
- Send newsletter communications if you subscribe.
- Prevent fraud/abuse and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data.
Service providers may process data to operate the service, including AWS, Google Maps, Mapbox, Expo Push, and Amazon SES.
Some information can be visible to other users according to social features and group participation.
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and service integrity.
5) Data retention
- Account/profile data is kept while your account is active.
- You can delete your account from the app.
- After a deletion request, we delete or anonymize personal data, typically within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal/security reasons and limited backup periods.
- Location and group-message data are retained for as long as needed to operate social, safety, support, and legal-compliance functions.
- Newsletter email is retained until unsubscribe or deletion request.

We apply reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, data minimization, and security monitoring.
No system is 100% secure.
7) Your controls and rights
- Edit your profile and remove your profile photo.
- Manage location/notification permissions at OS level.
- Disable location sharing at any time.
- Delete your account from the app.
- Unsubscribe from newsletter via email link or request.

8) International transfers
Data may be processed in infrastructure operated by international providers (for example, AWS, Google Maps, Mapbox, and Expo Push) and may involve transfers outside the Dominican Republic.
9) Minors
Voy.do is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child shared personal data with us.
10) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The latest version will be published on the site.
